You may have heard about the new agency on the block, The Property Market. They’ve just launched and asked Clikki to help with their social media presence which was perfect timing for us because we happened to be in the process of developing collateral for new products designed to do just this.
We started by developing a custom Facebook profile for TPM…
If you click on over to Facebook and check it out the first thing you’ll notice is that the default landing page for new visitors is a custom, branded welcome page. If you become a fan of the page then in future you’ll drop directly onto their wall when you visit the page, but the branded landing page is a nice way to introduce your business to new visitors. We’ve also integrated TPM’s blog on it’s own tab and connected their Twitter stream to Facebook so they can update their status in just one place and have it propogate across both. Tying their website and social media pages together is important not only technically, but from a brand perspective we wanted to ensure consistency across all pages as well.
Which is why we also developed some custom branded elements for their Twitter profile as well. Neither Facebook or Twitter give you complete freedom when it comes to branding but their is a lot you can do…
For Twitter we customized their profile page to reflect the brand colors and used the TPM “o” as an immediately recognizable icon for their avatar. We also added a custom background image aligned to the left of their profile page. It isn’t possible to link that anywhere but it is a nice touch to add contact details and a strapline. Unfortunately the recent Twitter design changes mean there is much less room for this on the screen when the user has a small monitor, but it still looks great on a decent sized desktop monitor.
We are now offering this service to all Clikki clients, so please do drop us a line here if you would like to know more or leave us a comment below. We imagine our service offering in this area will evolve with the nature of social media so we’d love to hear your feedback.
